Suziana came to London from Malaysia to study cancer research at UCL, one of several Beaumont House residents who have made the move from Malaysia to study in London. We asked her what she has found in her first five months, from the location that sold her on Beaumont House to what she loves most about the city.

The interview
What are you studying and where?
I’m studying cancer research at University College London (UCL) and have been living at Beaumont House for about 5 months now.
What’s your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
I love to explore new places in London - there’s always something new to try, and I love the variety of things to do.
Why did you choose Beaumont House for your accommodation?
Beaumont House was recommended to me by a friend, and it’s a great location. It’s close to the university, it’s safe and it’s affordable. It’s also got great facilities too. Did you find it difficult to settle into a new house in a new country?
I didn’t find it difficult, but it does take time. It helps that everyone at Beaumont House is so friendly and open. It definitely helps when settling in.
